Cam Johnson, When we needed him most, delivers…Well, not really. You see, as Suns fans we should be nothing short of pleased with Cam Johnson’s exhilarating performance this past Tuesday against the Timberwolves. Johnson was the star of the show, putting up a mesmerizing 29 points, with 7 three pointers, and shooting 59% from the field. So what is there to be disappointed about Conor? Well, I’m glad you asked. Where was this when we truly needed it most…ahem, like the 2022 playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks? Oh, thats right, Cam Johnson was no where to be seen, along with the rest of the roster. While I am loving this feisty and frivolous start to this new campaign winning 6 of 7, we can’t get our hopes up. This is something we’ve seen before, just last year in fact! Every preseason win should be taken with a grain of salt, for this team should easily be finishing at the one seed. What I want to see is this same sort of desire and commitment to winning when it comes to, you know….ACTUALLY winning something. So let us be happy for this start of the season, but not surprised. Cam Johnson can have his little 5 minutes of fame, but lets see this on a consistent basis please.

Sincerely, a pessimistic Suns fan.
